The sporting director of Bayern Munich, Hasan Salihamidzic, severely criticized Robert Lewandowski’s insistence on leaving the club despite having a valid contract.
The Pole made it clear that he wanted to sign for FC Barcelona from the first day the opportunity presented itself and he fought to achieve his dream, says Just Football.
“The understanding of Lewandowski’s attitude is equal to zero zero points. I don’t understand his attitude.”
“As a player myself, I have fulfilled all the contracts, of course. As a player, I would have had it from the inside for myself and I would have fulfilled my contract”, said Salihamidzic.
Further, Bayern’s sporting director admitted mistakes in the negotiations for the renewal of David Alaba’s contract.
“We have offered him a lot of money, from our point of view. It was a meeting with David’s representatives and we gave him an ultimatum, we told him that David would have to make a decision”.
“From today’s point of view, I would say that maybe it was not necessary to give an ultimatum to a player of David’s qualities”, he concluded.
